HOLY WEEK & EASTER  CEREMONIES for Enniscorthy Pastoral Area March 2024


Holy Thursday 28th

Mass of the Lords Supper- St. Aidan’s 6pm   followed by  Adoration at the Altar of repose  until 10pm.

Please Note:  All those involved in ministry in the parish are invited to come to Mass at 6pm on Holy Thursday for Commissioning.

 Mass 7pm St. Senan’s followed by Adoration at the Altar of Repose.

Mass 7:30pm Marshalstown

Good Friday 29th

Reconciliation Service for the Pastoral    Area St Aidan’s 12noon.

Commemoration of the Lord’s Passion        St. Aidan’s 3pm

Commemoration of the Lord’s Passion    Castledockrell 3pm

Commemoration of the Lord’s Passion    St. Senan’s 7pm

Reflective Prayer St. Aidan’s Cathedral, 7pm—this includes prayer, readings, music and quiet reflection.

Holy Saturday Easter Vigil St. Senan’s 7pm 30th March Easter Vigil Marshalstown 8pm Easter Vigil St. Aidan’s- 9pm + Baptism

Blessing of Food for the Polish Community in St. Aidan’s at vigil Mass

Blessing of Salt at all Masses in the Pastoral area on Easter Sunday Morning. Please leave in your salt to the church to be blessed beforehand with your name on it.

Easter week Mass as normal in the Pastoral area. Parish Office Closed on Monday 1st April.

Monday 1st April—St. Aidan’s 10am  — we will remember the 108th Anniversary of the Insurrection of Easter 1916 and to honour the memory of all Wexford people who died for Ireland, particularly from 1798 onwards. All are welcome.

Tuesday 2nd April—Parish Coffee Morning will take place in the Manse on after the 10am Mass.  The Rosary will take place before Mass.  All are welcome to come along for tea/coffee and a chat.

Trócaire Boxes/Donations

Parishioners are invited to return their Trócaire Boxes/Donation Envelope this weekend and place them in the basket at the back of the church or as soon as possible to the Parish Office. Many thanks for your generosity.

Easter Dues envelopes are available in the Church and in your envelope box.  Please return them this weekend or as soon as possible.  The priests of the Pastoral area thank you for your generosity.


Many thanks to all parishioners who participated in the Easter Ceremonies, to our Choirs, Eucharistic Ministers and Ministers of the Word, to all who decorated and cleaned the church, looked after flowers, to all our committees, to our sacristans, to the parish office staff and staff at the Manse and to all who helped in many various ways to make these ceremonies possible. To all who support our parish by your presence and your contributions. It is all very much appreciated.

An Easter Blessing

Let this Easter Sunday be a reminder of how blessed you are to know Christ as your Lord and Saviour.  May God touch you today as you attend Church and experience His truth that He is the Resurrection and the Life! Happy Easter Sunday! May today be filled with God’s blessings and that His presence would be with you always.  I thank God for your salvation and pray blessing upon you this Easter weekend.
