St Aidan’s Cathedral Choir was formed in 2006 under the direction of Ms Lorna Mahon-Wall. The choir was initially accompanied by the then Organist Ms Mary Baker (now deceased). In late 2007, Mr Adrian Doyle took over as Organist for the choir.

Today, there are over thirty-five members in the choir with some having been part of
previous choirs which existed in the Cathedral. In 2024, Mr Adrian Doyle took on the dual role of being both Organist and Choir Director.

Currently they are the only choir officially attached to the Cathedral. They regularly
sing at the 10am Sunday Mass. The Cathedral has a very busy liturgical calendar,
and many other events often take place, some at very short notice and the Cathedral
Choir are always happy to oblige in providing the music when required.

The choir have performed on South East Radio, Church Services TV, RTE and as
recent as December 2025 featured in a special Nationwide Program centered on
the Enniscorthy Carol. They have also performed in St Mary’s Church, Enniscorthy
for their annual carol service on more than one occasion and at several ordinations.
Most recently in April 2026, they were one of the choirs to perform for the Festival of Choirs which took place in the Cathedral.
